ENRES International’s 6 day field seminars are designed for geoscientists and reservoir engineers. A lecture and field component introduce participants to some spectacular outcrops in the Tremp-Graus and Ebro Basins (South-Central Pyrenees, Spain).
The primary objective is for participants to be able to tie fluvial facies in outcrop with observations in sub-surface data sets such as cores and well logs.
Seminar outline:
Day 1. Arrival at Barcelona International Airport. Structural outline of the Tremp-Graus and Ebro basins.
Day 2. Introduction to climate forcing of fluvial facies/reservoirs. Fluvial reservoir subsurface correlation and outcrop analogues.
Day 3. Fluvial reservoir development in incised-valley systems.
Day 4. Fluvial channel belt development related to climate forcing.
Day 5. Variations of reservoir interconnectedness.
Day 6. Return to Barcelona International Airport.
